A COVID-19 update for spring 2023 | Temple Now

To the Temple community,

We hope you are having a successful start to the spring semester. In our effort to keep the campus community healthy, we want to provide information and reminders amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Healthy behaviors

We encourage everyone to stay up to date on their COVID-19 vaccine and receive all boosters for which you are eligible. Monitor your health if you develop symptoms of COVID-19, wear a mask, get tested and stay home. Practice hand hygiene by frequently washing your hands or using hand sanitizer.

Masking on campus

As a reminder, masks are required in healthcare spaces, clinical spaces and in settings where clinical spaces are incorporated within the learning environment. Masks are optional in all other indoor and outdoor spaces.

Morgan Hall testing site

We are closing the Morgan Hall testing site on Monday, Jan. 30. Going forward, anyone who is experiencing symptoms can be tested at Student Health Services by making an appointment through the patient health portal.

Free COVID-19 antigen tests

In collaboration with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, Temple has free COVID-19 antigen tests available. Tests can be picked up at the following locations.

Howard Gittis Student Center

Charles Library

TECH Center

Student Health office (1700 N. Broad St., 4th floor)

We appreciate everyones willingness to follow this guidance and continue to prioritize the collective well-being of both the Temple and North Philadelphia communities.

Sincerely,

Mark DenysAssociate Vice Provost for Health and Well-being
